Mythology

In this unit we will be studying Greek Mythology and the ways people used to explain the world around them.  A myth by definition explains why something exists in the world today.  Often times you hear the phrase, "oh that's just a myth," as in a false story, but that is not the definition with which we are working.  Myths were important not only in Ancient Greek Society, but in practically every culture/society that has ever existed.  Below you will find links and videos we will use in class to explore what mythology actually is and why studying it is important.
